Martha’s Story – New Release

Martha’s Story is the first book of a new series and it is a fiction book revolving around an Amish community in Ohio. Martha’s sister fell in love with a man outside the community and she moved away. This created a big void for Martha. The book unfolds involves her vacillations between the Amish and English worlds as well as her courage, faith and search for true love.

You can pick it up here: Martha’s Story . If you belong to Kindle Unlimited, you can read it for free. (They also have a free 30 day trial to test it out).

I have gotten requests for an Amish series and have always been interested in the Amish Communities since a childhood trip to Pennsylvania with my family. Later, in college, I had a friend who grew up in an Amish family and we had many talks. Both this new series as well as the first series (Montana Mail Order Brides) deals with young women looking for answers and seeking happiness.

The show “Return to Amish” is very popular now, and shows conflicts between the Amish and English worlds and journeys of several people. My own series, will be family-friendly so that all ages can read it. I also am having each book in the series have a happy ending as people have told me that’s what they look for in their reading breaks away from daily pressures! I’m the same way, so these have a strong similarity to the mail order bride series. If you’ve never read anything before about Amish culture, I hope you will enjoy this. Each book in the series will have a different person in the Wilkes County Community featured. Some may be conflicted between the Amish and English worlds, others may temporarily want to test out the English world and finally others are very happy to stay solely within their tradition. I hope you’ll enjoy both series. If you’ve only read Amish stories and want to try Mail Order Bride novellas, I think you’ll find that there is a commonality due to the strong spiritual values, cultivated ethical principles, value of family and search for goodness, loves and true peace.

These are stand-alone novellas and the boxset is also in Kindle Unlimited, so you can read it for free if you join (and they do have a 30 day free trial). Also, if you wanted to get the first two books (Mail Order Bride Leah and Mail Order Bride Tess), they are together in their own anthology: Mail Order Brides Anthology: Leah and Tess Books 1-2 Click Here . And this anthology is also in Kindle Unlimited. The books are still also available individually too as some people like to read books individually. I never read a book before on a phone and didn’t think I’d like it, but actually is was really good doing this as I waited at the doctor’s office for 50 minutes! Time went quickly and it was very enriching. So if you think you won’t enjoy that, give it a try. I am old school and love reading sweet, western romances and now can do that in public settings on the phone (yes it took me a while to get a smartphone)!

Also May’s story will be released in next few weeks (the sister of Leah’s sister-in-law Jane). Jane got this whole mail order bride letter writing going as she pretended to be May and wrote to a man in Montana! What are sister’s for? Especially when your younger sister is getting married and only wants the best for you!

Mail Order Bride Jessica

jessicasmallbest Mail Order Bride Jessica is now released and is a sweet novella about a young lady who tried to protect her friend from disgrace. She ended up herself having her reputation damaged due to a misunderstanding! Jessica does not want to go to England to due to the town’s gossip which is her mother’s idea. She does not want to marry there and have to live a new life where she’d be alienated. The truth of the matter is that Jessica was not a “high society” type internally in many ways. She loved missing the tea parties and preferred to drink tea and have her treats curled up with a good book. What happens when she decides to answer a mail order bride advertisement from a Montana man? It’s available now at Amazon and you can find it by clicking here .

Mail Order Bride Felicity New Book

Felicity_small_versionI am very happy to announce that Mail Order Bride Felicity was just released! It is Book 3 in the series but they are each stand alone novellas so you can read it first if you’d like. It is about Felicity, who works in a millinery shop and was crushed when a letter arrived telling her that the man she was engaged to married another woman.

However, after much sadness, Felicity looks at some mail order bride ads and starts to write to a doctor in Montana. They have a good connection and the story shows the various issues they run into as their journey together unfolds. You can find it at Amazon CLICK HERE for .99 temporarily.

I like to write about women who love to read and are intelligent, but also want a traditional family. Felicity is also special due to her interest in herbs and healing. Please let me know what you think. The other books in the series are Mail Order Bride Leah and Mail Order Bride Tess.

In fact, there is a very sweet letter from Tess to Felicity in this new book that brought her to tears.

Mail Order Bride Leah

Welcome to Rose Jenster’s Blog

Mail Order Bride Leah I’m a fiction writer, Rose Jenster, and love to write books about women seeking happiness in love by┬áleaving their difficult circumstances. My books are focusing now on the 19th century and the trials of women on the east coast who adventure out west to Montana. This took tremendous courage and often created a rift with one’s parents and family.

Not only is a young woman dealing with fears of being alone her whole life and the apprehensions of going west, but also there can often be rejection from one’s family for taking this kind of leap. This will be four or five stand-alone books, but also with some connections between characters as the series develops. Each book however can be read without reading the other ones.

In the first book of the series, “Mail Order Bride Leah” (click here) , we meet Leah who is a school teacher in Albany. She is saddened by the death of her mother and the decline mentally of her father (which resulted in his business failing). Leah does not want to live at her brother’s family’s home and be a burden. Her brother’s wife, Jane, told Leah that her sister found happiness by answering a mail order bride ad. We watch Leah’s journey in reading and answering ads and developing feelings for a man she corresponds with from Montana.

Leah did not expect her brother’s disapproval about meeting the man she developed strong feelings for and we get to experience her dealing with his rejection, adventure out west and the physical and emotional trials that she goes through in sorting out this new experience. Why does the man that she felt so close with by mail change in person? What creates his distance and can this gap be bridged? Who is the person from the past that haunts him? Read more about Leah’s trip out west and how it turns out for her HERE.

If you’ve already read about Leah’s story, Book 2 is also available. It is here, “Mail Order Bride Tess“. I’ll describe it more in the next post. The second book involves another woman from Albany, NY and her journey to find love and happiness.
